Membership
The many ways to join St. Mary's
Benefits of membership
Registered members at St. Mary’s receive:
- Reduced fees on cemetery plots and rental of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish hall
- Lower fees for weddings
- Reduced tuition rate for children attending St. Mary’s Catholic School.
Am I already a member?
Some parishioners have worshiped at St. Mary’s for many years and often assume, because of the longevity of their participation in the parish, that they are members. Membership enrollment is a formal registration process. You can easily determine your membership status by emailing the church.
RCIA
For adults interested in learning about initiation into the Catholic Church, please contact our church office, 830-997-9523, or Matt Seidenberger. Information about RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) and additional resources are available on our archdiocesan website: www.archsa.org.
Baptism
If you have not been baptized, the Christian initiation process prepares you to become a Catholic Christian by celebrating and receiving what we call the sacraments of Christian initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist or Holy Communion. These sacraments of initiation fully incorporate us into the life of God and make us members of his Church. If you have been baptized in another Christian tradition, the initiation process prepares you to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church by celebrating the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist or Holy Communion.
Transfer membership
If you recently moved into our parish and would like to transfer your membership, you can fill out the Parish Registration Form. Please be sure to tell us the name of the parish from which you wish to transfer. The registration form can be mailed or brought to our church office: 306 W. San Antonio Street, Fredericksburg, TX 78624.
