CATHOLICISM?

Married to a Catholic?  Just curious about Catholicism?  Thinking about becoming a Catholic?  If the answer to any of these is "yes," you may want to inquire about the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).  Question and answer sessions are held each fall; no pressure, no obligation.  Please call the Faith Formation Office for information.

FACILITIES SCHEDULING

All facilities used by parish ministries and organization must be reserved in advance. Facilities are reserved on a "first come, first served" basis.  However, certain events such as Confirmation, First Eucharist, weddings and funerals, some school functions and parish reconciliation services, take precedence over other activities.  Contact the church secretary for information.

MINISTRY TO THE SICK AND HOMEBOUND

Do not hesitate to call the priest in case of serious illness or surgery.  Ministers of the Eucharist are available to bring Holy Communion to the sick and elderly of the parish. Also, nursing home services are held weekly.  Contact the church office to arrange for communion at home.

REGISTERING IN THE PARISH

New to the parish?  Welcome to St. Mary's!  Registration forms are available in the rear of the church and at the parish office.  Please fill in the form completely and give it to an usher or return it to the parish office.  If you have questions or suggestions, or if you need to speak to a priest, please call the parish office at 997-9523.

WORKING WITH THE PARISH STAFF

With over thirty active ministries and organizations in the parish, it is essential that ministry personnel and parish staff communicate well and work together.   Whenever possible, ministries should plan to use their own members for routine functions such as making copies and stuffing envelopes for mailing.  Your cooperation is appreciated.

Mailing and Printing: If the staff will be involved, please notify the office well in advance.  This allows time to purchase supplies (paper, envelopes, etc.) and arrange schedules.  The staff can provide mailing labels and other support as needed.

Copies:  Please call before bringing in your material; others may be using the copier.  If you would like the staff to make copies, please bring in your material ahead of time so it can be placed in the work schedule.

Bulletin Announcements: The deadline for submitting material to be placed in the weekly parish bulletin is 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday before the Sunday it is to be released.  For other information about the church bulletin, please call the church secretary.

Mass Announcements:  The deadline for submitting Mass announcements is the Friday before the weekend of the announcement.  The Pastor must approve all Mass announcements.  Call the church secretary for information.
